• 70% of people who reach age 65 are expected to need long-term care.


• Older adults currently require an average three years of care.


• 43% of people over age 85 are expected to develop Alzheimer's or some form of dementia, which requires an average six to eight years of care.


• As Boomers become seniors, they are expected to want more services than earlier generations.


• Many also want to stay in their homes and communities as long as possible (aging in place).
