Home Safety MODIfiCATION PILOT PROGRAM
What is it?
A pilot program to provide housing modifcations to island homeowners 65 years and older. It is sponsored by HAMV in partnership with the Martha's Vineyard Building Association, funded by local organizations and donations.
Who can participate in this program?
Any homeowner 65 years and older with a referral.
How much does it cost to participate?
Participants will pay on a sliding fee scale, based on income qualification. In some cases, the total cost of the home safety modification will be covered.
The HAMV Home Safety Modification Program is still going strong! Our 2020 survey let us know that Older Adults on island want to age in place. We are working hard to help you meet that goal. If you want a consultation for involvement in the Home Safety Modification Program, call your local COA.

Home Safety program progress
The HAMV Home Safety Modification Program has been hard at work, making the island safer for our Older-Adult residents. Currently the program is serving 30+ participants! We are improving our process as we go, and expanding our network of refferal agencies to better serve our residents. More exciting updates to come!
